The sun beamed down between the thick arial clouds that casted heavy shadows over the city. The train station was pretty busy today, considering how the inside was packed with people waiting for the next train, and people lingered on the sidewalk outside the station.
Among them was a pretty blonde hedgecat with crystal blue eyes who was pirched not on the sidewalk, but on the station's rooftop. The gaurd wall that was made to keep the stupid people from falling off was almost over her shoulders, everything in the human world being bigger than what she was used to.
But regaurdless, she rested her arms on the top of the wall and leaned on it, watching the people drift down the sidewalk in their own little worlds. Business men in suits on their cell phones, teenagers in groups, couples holding hands...mothers pushing strollers. It was all so bitter-sweet to Aero, watching people around her. To watch children play, mobians and humans alike, a hog-dog stand attendent joking with a customer. It was a sinking feeling, knowing that she was no longer one of them. Not of their spiecies anymore. No longer was she one of their kind and she never would be. It hurt...but it was a pain that she was slowly learning to cope with.
Aero sighed, shifting her gaze downward then closing her eyes completly as she waited for nothing. She was off duty today, and this was one of the few days she actually desided to leave the GUN premisis. She was slowly....ever so slowly....becoming a little more social. After that night, she'd shut herself off from the world, fell back into her risen walls. A girl who was once so trusting, so loving and understanding, now turned into someone who was so suspicious and shunning she scared herself sometimes. She hated what she was becoming, but it was a small price in comparison to what could happen again. It was a bribe that she'd accepted...the pain was so heavy on her, she could barely handle it on her own. But never again would she open herself up to anyone. She'd never tasted torment when she had been so tursting. But now she had...now she knew...
A breeze drifted past and toyed with her bangs, her eyes opening to agonized slits as she looked across the horizon, searching for something that wasn't really there. It never really had been...

..::Listen to me, Don't Let them Ever Erase us!::..
The breeze shifted uneasily on his wings. His head slightly bleeding from a bullet. Luckily it only grazed his scaled head. It was hard to see blood on him, since he was red. Highlights left hand clutched a leather bag, the edges poking out of it made sure something was inside. The red dragons' breath became shallow just as another bullet pierced his side. The police men didn't like Highlight as much as they did any thief. Highlight was one of those guys that refused to get captured... to refuse to die. He just hung on, always find a way out of situations. The bullet had embedded itself in between two ribs, just barely touching one of his lungs. He was getting frustrated now. These guys were on his tail, he couldn't go any faster from the lack of oxygen. His wings beated against the un even wind. The thief decided to make an illusion. There was no way he could get back home, no, he would have to bunk somewhere here for the night so he could remove the bullet in his side.
"Keep your eyes on him!" yowled one of the cops. "Hes weaving, don't let your eyes drift!" another one shouted. But the red dragon disappeared beyond some buildings. Highlight beated his wings, exhaustion taking over his injured body and he dropped out of the air. Landing with a thump on top of the Train Station. Highlight's wings trembled restlessly, itching with the blood flow.

Aero's distant thoughts were once again brought back to the present as a voice suddenly spoke through the radio in her GUN jacket's pocket.
--We've got a runner headed down Oakwood road, a red dragon and he's heading out - oh wait! Where'd he go?!--
Aero's ears twitched slightly and she lifted her eyes as she listened to the policeman's voice staticy voice. Then the small noise of teleporting energy ripping through the dimention's barrier and a thump sounded behind her....
"Don't move..." A black combat boot stepped just ahead of Highlight's nose, and looming over him was the blonde hedgecat. A revolver aimed down at his head, "And I might not blast your brains out. What's your name?" Aero noted his potentially fatal injuries, noting the extreme pain he was in right now. Sometimes it disturbed her how little she cared.
"And why are they chasing you?"

Highlight's tail swished over the concrete floor in frustration. Again. This place must have been crawling with these "law protectors" as he put it. The red dragon examined the person in front of him. Well.... she was smaller than the others he seen, no they were human. She was more like those "others". The questioned hit him, and he growled in annoyance.
"Theres no reason to state my name if I'm gonna die." he snorted. His arms were under him to break his fall so the bullet won't break in lung. That included the diamonds he stole. Well, he was a dragon of course. His near shreded blue jacket stained red from his blood. He closed his emerald green eyes and clutched the leather bag. He didn't want to do this, but he moved his arms from his chest and out stretched his left arm, placing the bag down slightly. He reopened his eyes and glared restlessly at Aero. There were two things wrong here that he didn't know. His presious treasure, the picture of his beloved sister had fluttered on one side of the buildings roof, the other was his fake chaos emerald keeping him alive was only seven feet away from him.

Aero kicked the bag to the side but otherwise ignored it, "You're a brave one aren't you?" She asked with a faint smile, looking down at him with lidded eyes, then shifted her gaze to the bag. Her right iris seemed to turn sightly, in a mechanical sort of way, her faint exray vishion from her bionic eye kicking in.
"And you're also a diamond thief. That's not smart."

Highlight thumped his tail. It was about time to do something before this. "Smart or not, I'm still a dragon. I guess you haven't been doin your research. Our kind steal anything that shines, sparkle or comfortable. Including diamonds." Highlight hissed. Judging by her uniform, she was on the enemy list to him. He never did like G.U.N. They always attempted to find his horde. His senses dulled from both the missing false emerald and exhaustion. But he could very much tell she was different. "What about you?" he hissed, trying to buy some time for his plan to kick in. "You aren't like the others. Did something happen to you too?" he hissed.

Among the musky and greese-scented station, a certain dark-furred coon leaned against a cement wall, near the front, where he could innocently watch all the passengers take their travels. He enjoyed the feeling of the cool stone on his bare back and grinned when he felt a soft breeze spread throughout the place, causing a few strands of his coal-black hair to drift into his eyes. He pulled his goggles up from his neck and placed them above his eyes; on his forehead, to keep the restless patch of fur from bothering his vision.
The sound of gunshots was a lucky surprise for the bored Saxon; and he looked up, just to see a flash of red fly away. His eyes widened slightly in confusion and a deep, threatening chuckle made it's way throughout the large area, his pace slowly countering the dragon's flight until the red beast stopped; the coon watching their interaction from the darkness.
"It would seem;" Saxon interjected and drawled out, purple eyes widening slightly at the scent of the blood, his lips twisting up into a wicked smile. "...this boy needs some medical attention. And, how noble of you to threaten someone who's already wounded." the coon laughed sarcasticly at the hedgecat's earlier question, his sick smile widening even more.

Aero looked at the dragon in puzzlement. How did he...it wasn't that obvious was it? There was a place on the right side of her forehead that her bangs covered where her skin and fur hadn't been able to heal over, and the metal could still be visible. Then there was her right hand, but it was covered by her glove. How could he tell that she had these "enhancements"...as the G.U.N. staff called it? Maybe he could tell by her eye, it's unorganic gleam. Maybe he didn't mean THAT kind of different. But the fur along her neck still rose, "What do you m--"
She broke off and turned her stare to the raccoon who'd just emerged, her brows furrowing slightly. Well, she hadn't detected him. Probably because she was only "[/i]slightly[/i]" distracted. And as his words registered in her mind, she turned away slightly, shutting herself back off again. More because of Highlight's words than Saxton's, but he just happened to have the easiest statement to address of the two, and she glared softly out of the corners of her eyes, "Sometimes you have to get dirty with the people who're throwing the mud." She said simply, "You apparently don't know much about fighting, but then, nobody asked you."
And who was this guy again?

HighLights ear twitched. His time to get up. His sides clutched in, and his pure red scales started to dull. But he was still quick enough to get up. Highlight stared at Saxon, then back at Areo. "Much as it is. I can take care of my inuries well." Highlight gave a slight bow towards Saxon, but still kept on his toes. He could possiably tell the Hedgecat how he knew. He wasn't... as normal as his tribe was. But he could feel his body getting weaker. How was it. His scales were starting to dull and turn a redish brown. If they turn brown he would die shortly. His breathing began to get faster and he slowly looked around dizzily.

The coon held up his large, clawed paws in fake defense, that twisted smile never leaving his features. "Now, now. No need to be cruel. I'm just an innocent onlooker, that's all."
He offered another grin towards them, one he would classify as 'friendly', but most others wouldn't be so sure. He gave a deep bow to the dragon, pleased greatly with his gesture.
His eyes shined with amusment and slight worry as he sniffed the air once more, catching the scent of the dragon's blood again. "And, pardon my worries," his eyes narrowed at the hedgecat, even as his grin remainded. He turned back to the dragon, his clawed paws resting behind hs back. At least some creatures had manners. "..but you don't look so great, Sir." His bright eyes trailed over to the fake emerald; confused at first with it's presence for a split second.
He smiled internaly. This was quickly becoming very amusing.

Aero rolled her eyes and pulled out her walkie talkie and held it close to her face as if she were about to speak into it. But instead she addressed the dragon, and didn't press the button just yet. "Alright I'm going to give you a choice, since I'm feeling so generous today." She began sternly, "I can radio in an ambulance, then once you're able, you go to jail. Or you just give me back those jewels you stole, no jail, and you find your own way to the hospital. The raccoon's right, you really don't look all that great. And I highly doubt you'd be able to 'take care' of those kind of gunshot wounds for long." Aero could take him, she could, but why should she? If this idiot couldn't even control himself when he was in the presense of something "shinney" then why should she waste her time helping him if he'd do it all again?
"As for you," Aero turned her crystal gaze back to Saxon, "This is exactly why "innosent bystanders" aren't allowed to get too close. There wasn't anything cruel in what I said, he brought this on himself. You pay the consequences for your stupidity." Something Aero knew all too well. And yet she was still giving Highlight the option of getting off the hook if only he gave back what he stole. She could get in SERIOUS trouble if she were caught. And she hated herself for doing this...but she couldn't go back on it.

((OOC: Oh intense!))
HighLight grabbed his forehead for a minute and realized what was up. He looked down at his chest and the fake chaos emerald was missing, along with the picture of his sister before he was... created into something regrettable. At least he still had fondness of jewels. "Stupidity or not, those jewels are like pillows and cushions to my.... no, only to dragons like I once was." Highlight glowered, and looked around for the green gem, stumbling over to it and picked it up. "I'll be fine... for now." he growled, lifting the emerald. His color slowly gained back, but he was still to weak. Wretched fall. "As for the choice. Being caged up again ain't for me. They wouldn't take me to jail. No, I'm something they've been after for years. After project S.H.A.D.O.W was lost, I was next in line. I was once full but now only... not even half. I am not what it all seems." Highlight tied the false emerald around his neck and looked at both Saxon and Areo. "I'd say about sixty years when my body changed from peace loving dragon to a creature living on its own. I can say you are no much different from me, Hedge-cat. I can see the way your body moves. Not smooth, not rigid. Only other projects can tell. no one else can." Highlight growled. He winced in slight pain from his head, only the fall made his left side worse. Oh well. "But. AT least I still have some of my own mind. My own love for anything to comfort my body." he narrowed his eyes. "And I have seen the bad thing G.U.N have did. Npot as much as that... fat man claiming to be a docter." Highlight growled, swipping up the jewels. "I am no thief, no killer, and no liar." he hissed.
